New Year, Same Me!

Happy New Year!!


I guess it is only appropriate to start each new year with a list of goals.  I’m not talking about the “I plan to start working out” or “Be nicer” kind of goals.  I mean real, written down, planned out goals.

So here they are:

  1. I plan to continue pursuing my fitness goals, focusing more on strength.
    1. To do this, I will begin Jessie Hilgenburg’s Muscle Building program.
    2. I will follow up with the Muscle Building 2 program
    3. I will reverse diet between each program
  2. I plan to mature as a Christian
    1. I will complete 1 home bible study every 3 months.
    2. I will attend 2 weeknight bible studies each month
  3. I want to travel more with my family.
    1. I would like to purchase a bunkhouse camper
      1. To finance this, I will pick up 1 extra shift at the hospital per month
      2. I will also write one guest blog post per month
    2. I would like to visit more places close to home such as campgrounds or state parks.
  4. I will write consistently every day
    1. I will blog once a week
    2. I will work on guest blogs
    3. I will begin a novel


Whew!  That’s a lot of goals, and we always know that ultimately God’s plans trump our own.  However, these are the exact things I plan to work on in the coming year.  I suggest you spend some time thinking about what you would like to accomplish and WRITE IT DOWN!  Create a plan.  Be able to measure your progress.  Don’t get caught up in complaining about 2016 and focusing on negative things.  Look forward and focus on a positive future.  This life is what you make of it!
