Summertime Sugar Body Scrub

Summertime is here and we are enjoying the sunshine, the swimming, and the long lazy days.
We are also showing more skin. Showing more skin means that you have to care more for your skin.
There are tons of commercial, inexpensive lotions and scrubs on the market. But what if you could create your own, super simple, customizable body scrub that moisturizes? No chemicals. Lots of moisture. Smells great.
What better time than now to create your own soothing sugar scrub?
You need a sugar scrub.
Some of us are in the sun a LOT.
Some of us use self-tanners (don’t judge).
Some of us are just dry and ashy (also, don’t judge).
I use this scrub 1-2 times per week to scrub off my old tan and eliminate any dry, flaky skin. It leaves my skin glowing and supple. That’s right, supple.
One of the ingredients is baby oil, so as you scrub you are moisturizing too! Essential oils are added to provide natural scent and additional benefits based on the oil you choose.
I prefer to use Lavender Oil because lavender has a ton of health benefits. According to research, it is naturally calming, helps with sleep, can help heal cuts and burns, helps with headaches, keeps skin clear, and can help with dry skin. I love the way it smells, too!
You could also use Orange Oil. Orange oil has also been shown to naturally assist with immunity, is antibacterial, assists with circulation, and can ease aches and pains.
Lemon Oil is good for helping you feel energized and fresh.
Peppermint Oil can help increase focus and is cooling to the body, which can help with sore muscles.
Use the oil of your choice and enjoy.
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup baby oil
10 drops essential oil
That’s it! So easy and quick!
Why buy the store brands when you can make your own, chemical free, inexpensive, easy scrub? It’s a no brainer.
